Amazon Elastic Load Balancer (ELB) is a fully managed service from AWS that distributes incoming network traffic across multiple targets to improve the availability and scalability of applications. ELB ensures that traffic is efficiently distributed to backend servers or resources based on factors such as server load and health checks.
There are several types of load balancers, including Application Load Balancer (ALB), Network Load Balancer (NLB) and Classic Load Balancer (CLB). Each optimized for different scenarios and requirements.
